Terms and Conditions
SuperChef does not pencil in any events or special orders. A signature on the contract/invoice must be received and confirmed in advance for all events and corporate orders. For any orders & events, a minimum non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total bill is required to confirm event.
All events & orders must be paid in full (7 business days prior to the event). Additional deposits may apply for, but are not limited to events that require additional staff, rentals, entertainment.
Clients must specify exact number of guests 10 business days prior to event or estimated original guest count will be used as guaranteed minimum. We strive to accommodate your every need, but increased guest counts less than 5 business days, product and staffing cannot be guaranteed. Guest counts cannot be decreased or canceled on orders confirmed less than 72 hours in advance. In addition, the initial guest count will be used as the guaranteed guest count in the event the order is decreased or canceled within 72 hours of the event. If additional rentals, staff, entertainment is required, a final invoice with additional charges may be billed to client.
It is the responsibility of the client to notify SuperChef of any venue related fees associated with their event. If fee’s are associated with the event—any vendor fee’s, permits, licenses, parking or any other fees are the responsibility of the client and will be added to the invoice based on any fees assessed to SuperChef.
It is the responsibility of the client to notify SuperChef should it be necessary to cancel. Once a function or event has been confirmed, and the deposit received, if it is necessary to cancel, the following fees will be billed to client:
- Less than 10 business days prior to event--100% of contracted price.
- Less than 30 days prior to event--50% of the contracted price and 100% of all specialty items rented or purchased.
- On corporate catering orders only (which include only breakfast and lunch orders. Dinner catering fees will be assessed as above)
- Less than 72 hours prior to event--100% of contracted price.
- Less than 5 business days prior to event--50% of contracted price plus any specialty items rented or purchased.
- 7 business days or more prior to event--25% of contracted price plus any specialty items rented or purchased.
- If events (corporate or other special events) are scheduled on holidays and/or during the month of December are canceled within 10 business days prior to the contracted date--100% of the contracted price will be billed plus any specialty items and/or rentals ordered.
Acts of God: If the event is canceled by the company/client due to rain, fire, flood or any similar or act of God beyond our control of company/client, SuperChef will be entitled to retain as it’s fee an amount equal to all costs incurred by in its planning and coordinating of the event, including staff time at the minimum hourly rate of $25.00 per hour. If the event is re-scheduled SuperChef will be entitled to a fee that covers services and expenses that may be duplicated.
SuperChef is contracted to supply the food in a safe and timely manner for your event. For everyone’s protection, no other foods shall be permitted or displayed without the written consent of SuperChef.
SuperChef reserves the right to remove all leftover food and products not consumed by the time designated for each event. If the client/customer decides to keep any leftover food, it becomes the client/customer’s responsibility for proper handling.
SuperChef is not responsible for any damages or replacement of client’s items or property that might have been, but in no way are limited to lost, misplaced or stolen. Customer/client waives any damages based on embarrassment, humiliation or other damages from sensitivities. Client/customer will incur all costs of any missing or damaged equipment. If SuperChef is assessed any fees by another rental agency for fees assessed to client, these charges will be incurred by client and added to client's final invoice.
If the scheduled pick up time and/or breakdown time is changed by client/customer without prior notification, an additional charge(s) may apply.
SuperChef reserves the right to make substitutions for items that may not be available due to current market conditions or any reason(s) beyond our control. All attempts will be made to accommodate the original order as best possible. All substitutions will be comparable to the original estimate.
Service charges:
SuperChef hires staff based on many factors, including but not limited to the numbers of guests we are asked to serve, and the type of event. Staff is hired at $15-$25 per hour per staff person with a four hour minimum. The head chef is paid a minimum of $200 for up to 5 hours, including preparation time and $40 an hour for every hour spent cooking after that. These fees are assessed in addition to other fees.
In addition, there will be a one-time fee for set up and delivery, which starts at $25 for each event and$15 per hour per staff person needed. This fee is also based on many factors that include but are not limited to the type of event, where it's located, and what needs to be done to prepare for the event.
SuperChef is not responsible for clean up outside the kitchen & food service items. These fees are assessed in addition to other fees.
- All items, rentals and equipment provided for event, including but in no way limited to any chafing trays, linens, decorations. In the event that any of these items are missing, damaged, or destroyed, the client. These fees may be assessed in addition to other fees at the end of the event.
If your event goes beyond the contracted time, client will be charged an additional fee of $25 per hour per attendant remaining at event location to be billed at one-hour increments to the next hour.
SuperChef does not provide bar services.
SuperChef provides an estimate, which may not be the final amount due. Due to factors SuperChef cannot anticipate (some listed above), the final amount due may turn out to be more than the original estimate.
